Suppose that an object weighs 60 Newtons on the surface of the earth (a distance of R from its center). If the same object is located a distance of R above the Earth's surface (a distance of 2R from its center), then the force of gravity upon it would be ____ Newtons..... this is the complete question.

Force due to gravity is inversely prop to suare of distance between them hence increasing distance twice will reduce the force 4times.

Hence new force=60/4=15.0N
