The Principles

Would the technology I develop be welcomed by the society?
The technology I develop would be welcomed by the society since it promotes social
good by ensuring that there is access to real estate properties of all types and that diversity is
promoted by opening up posting of real estate properties by any agent. The technology would
also be welcomed by the society since it does not harm the society in any way either through
environmental degradation or loss of jobs to the society. Various security measures have been
implemented to ensure that personal data is kept private and there is verification of all data
posted on the platform to ensure that users can trust the information posted on the website.
Is the benefit greater than the risk?
The benefit of the solution is greater than the risk since majority of the risks that are
experienced are mainly those related to project implementation rather than social goods to the
society. The various benefits experienced range from customers’ access to variety to sellers
access to a wide market. Other than economic benefits the solution also brings various social
benefits as it creates a social platform where customers, agents, and the company can
communicate and share real estate information through the platform.
Also, the platform will offer real-time property insights which will be based on a business
intelligence platform which will collect data, analyze the data and provide intelligence reports
that can be used to make various decisions for the customers and various other stakeholders.
Is my work and behavior ethical and socially responsible?
My work is socially responsible as it plays a big role in ensuring that customers are
empowered to make the right purchasing decisions as they have access to intelligent information
which will guide their purchasing decisions. This means that the society will have access to the

right information which will ensure that they make the right purchasing decisions. For the
agents, the work will ensure that they have an increased access to the market as their
properties will be accessed by any customer who has a smartphone and who has access to
the internet.
My work is also ethical as it does not lead to any loss of job or compromise of any
human rights nor does it lead to any harm. On the contrary, it leads to creation of extra
employment opportunities as it offers real estate agents access to market and hence
attracting unemployed people to the industry. Also, it leads to the overall growth of the
industry by ensuring that there is both access and demand for the real estate properties.
Finally, it ensures that customers are well informed before making purchasing decisions
hence ensuring that they made the right decisions. This, therefore, means that it does
more good than harm for all the stakeholders involved.
The Process
Have I asked the right questions?
Yes, I have asked the right questions. This is because I have asked questions that
are in consideration of all the stakeholders of the system to be developed. This has helped
me to ensure that I consider all of them and ensure that the system being developed is of
benefit to all of them. The questions I have asked also are considerate as they help in
determining the challenges currently being faced by real estate customers, agents, and
developers and then developing a solution that solves these chal...
