Description
1. Explain the difference between niche and range
Explanation & Answer
The ecological niche refers to the manner in which a particular species relates with the available resources and its competitors like predators. This implies that the species do well when the resources are abundant and predators are few but but are deterred by the competitors presence and scarcity of resources. On the other hand, ecological range refers to the perimeter within which a given species lives, for example, some birds migrate between distinct areas referred to as breeding range(summer) and winter range.
