find volume of such a cylinder

The volume of a cylinder is V = pi*r^2*h.

Plug in the information you know: r = 5 and h = 10.

V = pi*5^2*10

V = pi*25*10

V = 250 pi. inches cubed

If you are actually multiplying by pi instead of leaving it in terms of pi, use 3.24 for "pi."

V = 250*3.14

V = 785 inches^3
