a)  Use the Sine Law:    k / sinK = j / sinJ = 5.2/ sin30° = 5.2 / 0.5 = 10.4, then sinK = k / 10.4 = 1

and the angle K has only one value, that is, 90°. So, there is only one triangle.

b) k / sinK = j/ sinJ = 8 / sin140° = 12.45, and sinK = 8.2/12.45 = 0.659. In this case there are two triangles

one with K = 41° and the other with K = 180° -  41° = 139°
