A pilot flying a USCG helicopter at an altitude of 2.1 km sight a vessel directly in front of her. The angle of the depression to the beginning of the vessel is 3.1. The angle of depression to the end of the vessel is 23. What is the length of the vessel?

 2100/AB      =    tan 23 degrees


AB = 2100/ tan 23  = 4947.3 m

 2100/AC      =    tan 3 .1degrees


AC = 2100/ tan 3.1 degrees = 38775.4
