i have 2 types of coffee. coffee a sells for $4 per pound and coffee b sells for $13 per pound. 90 pounds of coffee b will be mixed with coffee a to get a mixture that will sell for $10 per pound. how many pounds of coffee a should be used?

make x the subject

x=90-y

4[90-y]+13y

360-4y+13y

360-9y

360=9y

y= 40

x will be

4x+13y

4x+13[40]

4X+520

4x= 520

130

thus the mixture is 40 and 130 for the 2 type of coffee
