our concepts about other groups of people. This can be their beliefs, values, attitudes and the
nature of the kind of society that this group has created. It is the way in which one is able to
summarize and evaluate a different collection of people that are in a way different from them.
This is the reason the tourist develops stereotypes while traveling from their home country. They
have the knowledge and the thought that they are going to meet and be among people of different
culture. For a particular tourist who is traveling to any foreign country, the stereotype will offer
them two primary benefits; one it will allow them a chance to make a guess of the experiences
that they will likely to have and secondly, it will give them a sense of the manner they should act
or behave while among these societies. Having had some basics regarding the society that you
will be encountering, it gives the tourist a chance to predict the nature and the behaviors that they
