1) The coefficient of the first term is 2. The constant is -7. Multiplying them together you get -14. 

The answer is -14

2) When two numbers are multiplied, they give you -14 and when added give you a positive 5, the second coefficient. Since 2 * -7 = -14 but when added equal -5, you can switch the signs to make it 7 *- 2 = -14 which when added give you +5.

The answers are -2 and 7

3) The rewritten trinomial will be 2m^2 + (-2)m + (7)m - 7

4) (x + 3.5) and (x - 1)
