How does the U.S. Federal bureaucracy influence, operate, and function concerning
implementing economic, social, and foreign policy?
The federal bureaucracy is an entity that is designed to achieve certain agendas. It is an
entity that entails individuals which will make it complicated to elaborate the understanding of the
concept. These entities are characterized by its competitive nature and the need for power. Those
that serve at the leadership position of the bureaucracy are aware of the way the resources are
limited to meet the demands of the administration.
Turning a system where individuals are given jobs with regards to the loyalty of the party
to a merit-based system where individuals are employed by their ability. These changes come with
challenges since it comes with different issues (The Bureaucracy, 2017). These spoils system has
been inclined to the United States system hence it dictates the way bureaucracy is run and operated.
Therefore, without the power to confer, support and give favors the bureaucracy agendas will not
be implemented effectively
Bureaucracy will increase their budget every financial year with the aim to diminish all the
resources that is available. This activity makes it more difficult for the lawmakers to cut off or
reduce the budget that will occur in future. These will result in bureaucratic waste that will be
