The graph of g(x) is like the graph of f(x) = cosx as far as amplitude and period is concerned but it is shifted pi radians to the left ( phase shift of pi to the left).

This means that the maximum value of g(x) occurs at x = -pi rather than at the normal place x= zero in the graph of f
