Based on your understanding of informational social influence, outline and explain the four
(4) factors and conditions that encouraged Emma to conform.
Informational Social Influence is a psychological situation in which an individual accepts
the actions and decisions of others with the assumption that the persons have the correct position
regarding the situation. In these circumstances, the individuals are incapable determining the
correct decisions or the most appropriate course of behavior or reaction, and that is influenced
partially by the fact that the victims feel the other parties have the correct information (Rader et
al, 2017). In most instances, the informational social influence leads people to make decisions
that in the long run turn out to be improper. In the case of Emma, when she was informed that
she had to vacate the room due to the impending fire outbreak, she believed what she was being
told and left immediately. It was when she came back when she discovered that the decision
which she had taken was not the best and she had in the long suffered losses. With regards to the
informational social influence, the following are some of the factors that could have necessitated
Emma to conform to the command;
