You will need to analyze the author's literary techniques as well as how your chosen texts reflect the society and culture of the time period. Be sure to justify your choices as to why that particular work and author is significant. Support your justification with text evidence and outside quotes from academic sources. Presentation options: Prezi, Swipe, Sway, or PowerPoint. 15 slide minimum.

Essay: Your comparison/contrast essay should be a minimum of 500 words and should provide analysis of the author’s literary techniques as well as how your chosen texts reflect the society and culture of the time period. Prompt #2: Choose either Macbeth, Sir Gawain, or Beowulf to address the following question. What modern values and/or universal themes are evident in the character? What does this tell us about how literature reflects society, culture, place, and/or history?
