Many researchers have fallen victims of unethical research which does not

conform to the various codes of ethics. In most cases, medical research is viewed to be the
only research which may cause health complications to the individual, though, that is not the
case. Recently, it has been discovered that research across all disciplines bears risks in cases
of non-adherence to the research code of ethics code ethics. For instance, sociology research
has shown high capabilities of risks in an event where the code of ethics is not adopted. It is,
therefore, the responsibility of the research bodies in collaboration of the health organizations
to ensure that the research principles and code of ethics are followed to the latter to assure the
research subject of their confidentiality and respect during the research (Dzombak, 2017).
Given the diverse advantages of ethics in research, it is critical that government agencies,
professional bodies, and schools formulate policies and rules relating to research across all
disciplines to mitigate the risks associated with unethical research.
