Jesus’ life that are not found in the Gospel of John.
Apparently, John’s Gospel has many differences as compared with synoptic Gospels
(Foster, 2015). The most notable difference is in content and style. Matthew, Mark, and Luke

were pressured to write the Gospel because a generation that knew nothing about Jesus birth,
ministry, death, and resurrection now existed and most of those who knew about it were quickly
passing away (Foster, 2015). It's believed that Mark was the first to write. 95 percent of the
synoptic gospels are similar in content and style. Most of it is just a repetition.
John’s Gospel, however, was written at a time when people had read the Gospels. He,
therefore, wrote without any pressure and gave a detailed account of Chist’s birth, ministry,
death, and resurrection reflecting that times’ need and culture. The purpose of writing the
Gospels is another reason for the difference (Foster, 2015). For instance, the synoptic Gospels
were written to prove Jesus as the son of God and the Messiah. They were written in an
apologetic as well as a historical sense. The theme and purpose of John’s Gospel are different
from the synoptic ones in that it was written during the Christians persecution by the Jewish
authority and the Roman Empire. The scattering of most Christian brought in false teachings and
