Summary
Courthouses’ security measures need to be up to par even though the court house is often
accessible to civilians at the recommended times. With this in mind they need to be positioned at
centralized locations to facilitate their accessibility. With time statistics have proven beyond
reasonable doubt that court houses are often vulnerable to attacks from the public and these
random violent acts may cost a state hefty amount of funds to maintain or repair or otherwise. In
this regard, courts need to have as a vital measure, viable security procedures. These will ensure
that individuals seeking to access the open courts could do so without experiencing a certain
aspect of fear so as to foresee they access justice and resolve their disputes in timely and secure
fashion.
The courts should also have efficient technologies, workforce, and an adequately
designed architecture that upholds on security aspects for people and property in the courthouse.
The measures should also uphold the court’s probity and judicial process as well as have
considerations for emergency administration forums. The main argument of the article is on
security and the effects thereof. More attention is called upon the need to inflate on the security
measures and for the court to call attention to the effects thereof.
