The introduction of a sports apparel company in the market may be a challenging
phenomenon in the current market conditions, given the stiff competition posed by the numerous
similar companies in the market today. To be successful, the company must set up effective
distribution channels for its products. A distribution channel is set up by the company to help in
the achievement of organizational goals and meet customer demands. This paper presents a
review of an article and discusses the aspect of a distribution channel. It also offers a review of
both the brick and mortar and online retail settings and compares the different distribution
channels and their role in meeting consumer needs and discusses the reasoning for the choice of
the best distribution strategy for the company.

A distribution channel may be described as the path for the flow of different products
from the suppliers or producers to the target market for buyers. A distribution channel represents
a chain of businesses as well as intermediaries through which a product or service goes through
