Remember from our learning that the population of Texas is growing, and growing rapidly, especially around places like Denton County. So as more people move in, their inelastic demand for housing causes the price of housing to go up. The problem is especially acute in Austin, where many white-collar professionals like teachers can no longer afford to live there. We see something similar here; except the problem is that we have a lot of service industry jobs, and wages are too low to afford housing here. For this paper, find 3 recent (sometime in 2017) newspaper or magazine articles (I would recommend starting with Texas Monthly and Texas Tribune) that discuss this issue and write up a summary of the major issues that are causing what we currently see with housing prices. Offer at the end of your paper a short potential solution.
