It is imperative for you as the professional to be aware of how and when to refer and what resources and interventions are available to the client. For this Assignment you will utilize your knowledge from course readings and investigate further in the Library a program which coordinates referrals and resources.

Part 1

Please audit two programs which coordinate referrals to resources and interventions in the community. Provide a conceptual overview of these two programs.

Part 2

Using one of the two programs chosen in part one; assess how this program will provide required resources to a risk population in need. Please provide a synthesis of the following: the at-risk population, the resources utilized, and how the chosen referral program assisted in accessing the resources by the at-risk population noted.

Part 3

Using one of the two programs chosen, assess how this program will provide required referral to an intervention to serve the at-risk population. Please provide a synthesis of the following: the at-risk population, the interventions utilized, and how the chosen referral program assisted in accessing necessary interventions.

Please note Part 2 and 3 do not have to serve the same at-risk population.

Resilience is not only an individual practice but an extensional practice to
communities, organizations, and groups. An excellent platform such as the family which
serves a crucial role in studying agencies and societies of all kinds promotes resilience. Most
resilient families believe in a family unit which fosters cohesiveness among family members,
believe in the ability to protect as well as support their members, and celebrate essential
family functions such as parties, as well as the creation of family rituals (Everly & Lating,
Communication among the family, cohesion, family routine adherence, family’s selfefficacy, optimism and sense of family identity, helps in rebounding families from adversity.
Resilient culture creation allows families’ communities and organizations to succeed since
environment that resilient culture thrives serves as the primary platform where there is
cementation of community culture. Resilient leadership helps create resilient culture in a
community, since it serves as a catalyst which motivates the community and the people to
exhibit resistance. Efficient administration forms the resilient culture in instances where
misfortune is a platform that which is always present. A resilient leader creates a crucial point
where various perceptions can change. These essential points should meet multiple thresholds
such as having credibility, have the willingness of promoting other peoples success, and
serving the purpose of an informational conduit, which in most cases involves frontline
supervisors (Everly & Lating, 2012).



According to Everly et al., 2010, Optimism, decisiveness, open communication and
integration are crucial factors that help communicate and foster the growth of resilient culture
in the leadership that is a resilient base.
Comprehensive services such as community-based programmes, helps to control gang
problems through strategies that are in line with the community’s call which supplements
suppression efforts. Community mobilization efforts help in organizing communities to
tackle the issue of a youth gang. However, mobilizing the communities is marred by a myriad
of challenges such as difficulty in institutionalizing the policies on the communities they
serve. Mobilising the community as a whole requires immense funding as well as donors
(Conly, 1993).
