Ernest Hemingway became one of the most influential authors of this time period, influencing a contemporary movement. Modernism influenced many other movements such as futurism, Dadaism, and surrealism. Futurism is a part of the modernist movement; it emphasized self-exploration and utilized literary tools such as imagery and unconventional wording in poetry. Filippo Marinetti was well known for being a founder of Futurism. Dadaism was established to cause revolutionary change, Dadaists had a more violent approach to literature and lifestyles due to their rebellious advances.
