The psychodynamic perspective is all about the motivation on human behavior as a result
of emotions, drives and needs. For example, both John and James Cook’s lose hope before social
worker in hospital because of various reasons. They lost their jobs, valued roles, health and
income. Moreover, they lost their only parent Joan and there is a possibility that they will lose
their home. Terisa, a young child to John and James decides to quit school thus losing education
and the initial vision. From this example, it is evident that the loss is so rapidly accumulated
such that any human adaptive capacity can be overwhelm by it. It is worth noting that the main
ideas of the psychodynamic perspective include the fact that human being overcome
overwhelming demands through ego, sometimes people can be overwhelming by external and
internal demands, experiences during childhood have the ability to shape a person’s emotions,
the motivating force in human behavior is the activity in the mind and that emotions are key the
