In looking for a literature, it is difficult to find the growth rate of a specific virus due to the
differences from one person to the other. A laboratory scale experiment is also not
freely available.
Suppose that we have an Ebola virus that grows in such a way that it doubles in number
every 8 hours. With this data, it is possible to generate an exponential function with the
form:
N(t) = N0(2)t/d
Where
N(t) is the number of virus at time t
N0 is the initial number of virus (at time zero)
t is the time after time zero
d is the time it takes for the population of the virus to double

In the given case, N0 = 1, d = 8 hours which means that there will be 2 viruses after 8
hours, 4 viruses after 16 hours and so on.
Starting with a single virus, the population grows as shown in the following table:
