If g(x) = 2x and (f*g)(x)=3/x what is f(x)

May 18th, 2015

(f*g)(x)= [f(x)]*[g(x)]

so we have

3/x=[f(x)]*2x

f(x)=[3/x]/2x=3/(2x^2)

answer is f(x)=3/(2x^2)
