Difference in areas = Area of circle 1 - Area of circle 2

radius of circle 1 = (1/2)*4 = 2

Area of circle 1 = pi*radius^2

Area of circle 1 = pi*2^2

Area of circle 1 = 4pi

radius of circle 2 = (1/2)*6=3

Area of circle 2 = pi*3^2

Area of circle 2 = 9pi

Differences in areas = 9pi - 4pi = 5pi = 15.7 = 16m^2
