You have recently received a promotion from operations team lead to operations manager. The organization you work for has established an Emerging Leaders onboarding learning and development program to assist new managers in closing minor skills gaps, and to set them up for success. During the one-year onboarding program, you are required to participate in assessments and activities that will help you to identify and understand your organizational leadership style. As part of this onboarding process, and to assist you to better understand your organizational leadership style, there is an outline development requirement as part of the one-year onboarding leadership development program.

Leadership style
Promotions come with an added responsibility for a larger group of followers. It requires
the right leadership to be able to maneuver the complexities of team activities. Of the five
leadership styles, transformational, transactional, servant, laissez-fair and autocratic,
transformational leadership best describe my leadership. I believe that this kind of leadership
style is performance oriented with the capability of scaling the organization to greater heights.
According to Shelton, (2012), transformational leadership is an effective form of productive
leadership whereby leaders and followers are in agreement and are working together to assist
each other. Moreover, the organization is at the center of the objectives of the leader and
employees. Therefore, this kind of set up does not only mean well for new leadership set up but
