A body weighs 250 gf in air and 190 gf in water. CALCULATE LOSS IN WEIGHT OF THE BODY AND UPTHRUST ON IT.

According to given question

Weight of the substance in air = 250 gf

Weight of the substance in water = 190 gf

Lost weight of the substance in water = 250 - 190 = 60 gf

Upthrust acting on the body = Loss of weight of the substance in water

= 60 g

Weight of water displaced = 60 g

Volume of water displaced =60 cm3

Volume of the substance = 60 cm3

R.D. of the body =Body in air/body in water=250/60=4.12
