Structure and Functions of Organs

Identify an organism that lives within 50 miles of a home in Florida.

In your own words.Write a 1,050- to 1,200-word paper about how the organism has adapted to survive in their specific environment. Include the following points in your paper:

·Briefly describe the environment (temperature, landscape, food sources, etc.) and describe the organism's role in the environment. Determine which organism your chosen organism would be most closely related to using a phylogenetic tree.

·Identify the structures and functions of the main organs found in your selected organism.

·Explain how the organism has evolved physiologically to become suited to its environment.

·Explain how things would change if the organism were to be transplanted to a significantly different environment:

·Would their organ system still be as efficient? Why or why not?

·Would the organism survive in this new environment? Why or why not?

Include the diagram and other appropriate pictures in your paper and make sure to provide a full reference for the images in your reference section.

Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines including references and in-text citations. Your paper should include a well written introduction and conclusion. Use only academic research sources.

The organism that lives and can be found within 50 miles of our home in Florida is a

cow. In our region, cows are considered as very important living organisms with various uses as
domestic animals in most homesteads. Cows are integral to various facets of human existence.
Cows are hardy animals and can live in various environments and habitats as long as those places
have adequate vegetation to feed on (Milburn, 2013).
Cows thrive in environments which are very similar to human beings. For a cow to
produce optimum milk, it must live in a comfortable environment which helps the animal in
feeding. The most appropriate temperature for a cow is 250C. The landscape needed for a cow to
live well is in the open grass with adequate grass growing around it (Durning & Brough, 2016).
Natural vegetation growing around such as shrubs, plants, green leaves and grasses are the best
sources of food for the animal.
A cow is of great to the environment. First, it provides humans with milk which is a rich
source of calcium. Milk and its products such as ghee are consumed widely in Florida. Ghee
fosters the growth and development of child’s brain. Secondly, cows provide humans with meat.
A cow feeds on grass grown by the sun. With a stomach divided into four compartments, a cow
can digest cellulose and ligni...
