Explanation & Answer

Because children are subject to whatever DNA they received from their mother and father. There is tens of thousands of years of information stored in the DNA. It is not just the parents information, it is also their parents and then their parents information and so on. The most dominated gene will be the norm to surface in the child, but more times then not a recessive gene seems to pop out. I have a sister who looks like a great grandmother, another a great Aunt,  i look like my mother's sister and we don't look like sisters. It depends on what infomation is passed between mother and father and that information isn't the same in any child born.
