Lu Xun is recognized as the father of the modern Chinese literature. He is a poet, a short
story writer, a translator, a lecturer, a teacher and a social critic who criticizes the vulnerable
systems in the leadership and government organizations. Xun was a good writer who advocated
for mental freedom and spiritual freedom; he was a great thinker. This man had a lot of proficiency
in his literary works whereby he left a legacy. His scripts were categorized based on the stylistic
features that were present in his actions. These include symbolism, realism, satire and
psychological symbolism. In this research paper, the critic report on the article written by Xun is
going to be discussed. The articled A Madam's Diary will be critically analyzed.
Xun's "A Madman's Diary," is the story that was published in the year 1918. It is a political
based story that aimed to point at and criticize the Chinese feudalism. This story developed to
become the cornerstone of the modern culture movement in China. Through this story, China
became modernized with the adoption of the western cultures. This story brings in the aspect of
political feudalism in the society (Berry, 40). The story talks about the community that is full of
stress, an organization that is forced to be too submissive to the dictatorial authorities as the
ultimate compliance to the existing tradition. The story also looks at the history, the culture and
the social life of the Chinese ironically.
Lu Xun depicts that the whole society is under the control and the manipulation of the
mass of individual who tends to know better than the other, who knows how to follow the tradition
