Multivariate analysis is a commonly used statistical method that enables the evaluation of
the impact of multiple independent variables on the dependent variable (Kiss et al., 2017). In this
regard, multivariate analysis is commonly used in the different disciplines, including chemistry,
physics, biology, medicine, engineering, and marketing (Shiker, 2012).
The present report analyzes the use of multivariate statistic analysis for the evaluation of
the impact of the age on the different types of eye diseases. The data were obtained from the
clinical histories of 1285 patients at the Ibn al-Haytham hospital in Iraq (Shiker, 2012).
Variables analyzed in the article
The independent variables included in Shiker’s report are the age of the patient and the
exact type of eye disease. On the other hand, the dependent variable is the frequency of such
