My preferred topic is "Should Students Have to Wear School Uniforms?" The pros; • School uniforms help in making the school unique and identifiable thus enhancing its pride. • They improve punctuality of the students as they do not have to waste time thinking about what to wear. • School uniforms enhance the performance of the students as they are more focused on studies not clothes and appearance (ProCon.ORG). The Cons: • Many people who advocate students to wear uniforms are after personal commercial gains as not educational benefits. • Concentrating too much on the issue of uniforms draws away attention from the real issues surrounding education. • Uniforms may be boring to the students as they keep wearing the same clothes over and over again (ProCon.ORG). State your position on the selected topic. Biases experienced while examining the reasons for and against your position. The main drive behind this topic is the fact that I studied in a school where it was compulsory to wear school uniform. Any home garments were not allowed in the school. Students had to obey a certain dressing conduct set by the school failure to which they would be punished. After a critical analysis of both sides of the divide, my position is that students should wear school uniforms. This is because school uniforms make all students look equal despite the financial position of their homes. My cousin was in a school where there was no specific dress code! This would mean that students would wear whatever garments they chose even if they are indecent. In such a case, the attention was mostly diverted from striving for educational excellence to something like a beauty contest where each student tried to outdo the other in dressing. Those from poor backgrounds felt bad as they could not afford to fit in the social dressing displayed by the others and as such their depression adversely affected their academic performance.

"Should Students Have to Wear School Uniforms?"
Introduction
The decision on whether to wear school uniforms or not has indeed come out to be
controversial among the relevant academic stakeholders. The rate at which the current public
schools are adopting the policy of school uniforms which were traditionally meant for the
private schools is also surprising and exciting. However, the increased integration of the
school uniform policy in the public schools is majorly witnessed in the areas perceived to
have low-income population. The paper will highlight some of the pros and cons of the
school uniforms policies which will then be essential in providing a way forward for different
public and private institutions in not only in the country but to the rest of the world. It will
also discuss the different types of biases which one might experience in the process of
evaluating the premises of the position and which can compromise the viewpoint among
other aspects which will explain. Typically, regarding the school uniform debate, my position
is that there are a mandato...
