Introduction
The global market has become very competitive owing to globalization, technological
advancement and changing consumer tastes and preferences. Due to intensified competition,
many global companies have employed several strategies to cope. Companies have been
intensifying promotion campaigns, diversifying their products and others even innovating, all
aimed at curbing completion. Their national markets are becoming small and very competitive.
This is why they go looking for bigger markets which are less competitive. Through this, their
products end up on a global platform. The global market is very big, hence many customers
which also translates to high profits. Carlsberg A/S has a strategy to do away with competition
