commission and CERN. It was meant to ensure long term development and growth of web
through enacting of protocols and guidelines.

b) Who can join the w3c? What does it cost to join?
W3C membership is open to both individuals and organizations. The organizations may be
Educational, commercial or government owned entities. Once the membership terms and
conditions are met any entity can become a member.
