Instructions: In class, we discussed how the IDEAS model can be applied to solve real-world problems. For this activity, you will apply each step of the IDEAS model to plan out how to solve a common problem that college students face. Refer to class notes from Unit 3 to help you complete this activity.

- Identify and define each step of the IDEAS model in your own words
- Choose a problem that you are currently facing that fits with one of the 10 problems addressed in the article and describe it in 2-3 sentences.
- Discuss what action(s) you would take for each step of the IDEAS model in order to solve this problem.

Time Management
In my opinion, the first step of the IDEAS model explains the main step a student has to be
capable of understanding. When students are not familiar with having multiple demands
planned on a well-built schedule it can become a major issue to the student's performance.
The second step is mainly useful to get a better understanding of where or how to start, in
such a manner that he or she can solve everything properly.
Another important step for the students would be enumerating the options they have and to
anticipate the consequences according to which option they chose to pick in the end.
Seeking options, putting actual energy into evaluating the consequences of the chosen
options and doing all of these in a positive manner can only result in a good foresight.
Knowing where you stand and how to manage the situation from a specific point is what the
