Social exclusion is the lack of or minimal involvement of, and special treatment of specific
groups of people that are not considered fully part of the social being as a result of health issues,
poverty or effects of circumstances. In this application, we will focus on the social exclusion of
people living with a physical disability (Marmot & Michael 10).
In the interpersonal level, we treat them with a lot of care in the families they grow. They
may also be secluded or hidden to avoid bringing shame to the family. The children growing up
with physical disability lack the opportunity to play around with other children since the other kids
will not understand (14).
