How Information Systems Affect Organizations.
The economic theory differs from the behavioral theory on how information systems
affect organizations is the manner in which the activities are conducted. The economic theory
views information system as having an impact on the operational research and information
gathering to achieve efficiency in undertaking business activities (Laudon & Laudon, 2010a).
On the other hand, behavioral theory views the impact of information technology on
organizations through creating avenues of interaction between the technology used and the
