Module 6 - Problems and Solutions For this week's discussion posting of 150-200 words, please pick between Scenario 1 or Scenario 2 below and answer both questions for that scenario below for your initial post. For your peer response of 75-100 words, please respond to a post from the unassigned scenario. Of course, you may also reply to other peer posts if you wish. In fact, it would provide the opportunity for you to practice your professional communication and problem solving skills. Scenario 1: Student has been working with mentor at facility. The student has noticed on more than one occasion questionable behavior by a small group of staff members. For example, the student has witnessed the group openly discussing patient information within earshot of other patients/family members or callously commenting on patient conditions or diagnoses. A) What is wrong with this situation? B) What would you do if the mentor was a part of the group in question? Scenario 2: Despite agreeing to the students' contract and voicing willingness and enthusiasm to help them with their planned activities, the mentor repeatedly has asked the student to do other things which involve some of the mentor's own duties. In addition, the mentor often misses scheduled meetings with the student and shifts the focus of the agreed upon tasks that the students will complete during the Capstone experience. A) How might the student approach the mentor to address this? B) What are the other options available to the student in addressing the situation?

Ethics in patient care

Healthcare providers all over the world have for long struggled with challenges of ethics
in patient care which they face on a daily basis while aiming to provide quality care. Ethical
issues in health care entice little attention but can bring about stress (Brightman, 2013).
