Secondary Source Analysis #1


Edmund Sears Morgan was a well-known historian, who specialized in American history.
Morgan was born in Minnesota, he received an AD degree from Harvard and continued all
the way up for his PhD. Morgan taught at top American universities and also became a
famous historical author. He is known for his most famous book, The Puritan Family. Most of
Edmund’s books revolved around a plot with characters and action, even though it was
based on specific historical events that took place in America, for example, The Stamp Act
Crisis revolved around an angry mob of colonials who were battling against Parliament.
