Employee retention plan

The retention of key talents is one of the most important undertakings for any company
especially one that wants to compete aggressively in a saturated market. The talented
employees contribute immensely to the growth of a company since often become business
leaders (Sathu &Rao, 2016). Losing the key talent can be detrimental since they contribute
more to the company as compared to the typical employee. Additionally, even with the high
level of unemployment, hunting for talented employees can be a rather daunting task. It is for
this reason that a company should formulate a retention plan that will ensure that the key
talents in the organization are not lost to the other companies. This will starts by evaluating
the goals of the retention plan or what the company hopes to achieve by implementing the
plan and conducting a survey to get the views of the employees on the working conditions at
the company. Also, it will incorporate sourcing for the manager’s approval, suggesting the
retention strategies, implementing the retention strategies, and making the employees sign the
retention agreement.
