Please help me out with this confusing question!
Why are images in a mirror flipped horizontally and not vertically? For example, although I wear my wristwatch on my left wrist, and my reflection wears his on his right wrist, my reflection is not standing on his head.
Please explain in your own words, 200 words minimum.

To start with, the mirror doesn't really reverse an image either vertically or horizontally
but reverses an image front-to-back along a vertical axis which is perpendicular to the mirror. A
person is turned inside out by the mirror so that he is looking at the opposite side without being
rotated.
