LEARNING ORGANIZATION
A learning organization refers to an organization which facilitates the training and
learning of its workers so that the organization can transform itself continuously. This type of
organization develops due to the pressures which global and many organizations are currently
facing to enable them to stand firm and remain competitive in the present day environment of
business. Through learning organization, an interconnected way of thinking is normally
encouraged (Garratt, 2000). The fruits of such an organization are employees feeling committed
and becomes more of a community at long last. Employees strain and work harder for the
organization they are working for because they are committed to it. Many global organizations
have continued to involve learning in their organizations so that they remain competitive enough
to withstand failing or becoming ineffective and inefficient.
There are five disciplines that organizations must master to introduce learning into their
system. The five are; Systems thinking: This refers to the potential to view the immense picture
and tell between patterns rather than conceptualizing alteration as actions that are isolated. This
thinking requires the other factors to facilitate a learning organization to be recognized and
acknowledged. There ought to be a paradigm swing, that is, from the state of being not
connected to interconnected to the entire, as well as from complaining about people’s troubles on
something which is from outside to a awareness that how people function, their deeds, can cause
