Prompt Question: Firstly, decide on your literary (Hank Morgan or Katniss Everdeen) and comic (Captain America or Black Panther) protagonists of choice, keeping in mind you can only focus on two of them and they have to be chosen from both fields. Secondly, you will create an argument around them, focusing on two simple angles: in what ways can you compare the two, and in what ways can you contrast them. Your thesis must address both angles to be fully on topic. Though how many similarities or differences you wish to argue remains up to you. Lastly, your conclusion must not only reiterate your full thesis, it also needs to answer this final question: of your chosen two, who qualifies as the more well rounded protagonist. Points will be deducted if you forget to address this final question. Strongest Example: Katniss & CA Fighting injustice is one of the strongest links between comic book favorite Captain America (Steve Rogers) and Panem’s darling Katniss Everdeen. Even though they come from different worlds, their underdog symbolism and impoverished backgrounds give way for them to fight harder and ultimately create unwaveringly honest portrayals of true heroism as best depicted by step 12 of the monomyth.
