EVALUATING ORGANIZATION CHANGE
Introduction
Health care guidelines are statements which are developed systematically to help health
practitioners and patients make informed decisions about the necessary healthcare related to
various specific circumstances. The guidelines take into consideration the patients preferences,
their values, the practitioners experience and the available resources for improving healthcare.
The purpose of the guidelines is to improve the quality of healthcare practices by providing the
healthcare professionals and the patients with important information regarding treatment options.
They identify risks that can occur in the healthcare and how to prevent them hence increase the
practitioner's knowledge and assist in reducing legal disputes and ethical issues that may arise
within medical facilities (Grol, Wensing, Eccles, and Davis, 2013). Guideline for preventing
healthcare-associated infections within the Matter Hospital was developed by the board for the
purpose of preventing infections within the facility. The guidelines describe the precautions
healthcare professionals should take in areas which include the hospital environment hygiene,
the use of personal protective equipment and the disposal of sharp materials.

the environment must be decontaminated effectively, All the workers clinicians, nurses and any
relevant staff must be aware of their personal responsibilities in maintaining the environment
clean, they need to be clear about their particular tasks. The areas near the patients must be
accorded additional importance due to the increased risk of infection outbreaks and
contaminations. The clinical area tasks for cleaning clinical equipment should be assigned to
specific individuals that have been trained on the procedures and have understood, and lastly,
every health worker should be educated on the importance of ensuring the environment is clean
and the risks for micro bacterial infections are mitigated (Hesselgreaves, Watson, Crawford,
Lough, and Bowie, 2013).
Guideline for the use of personal protective equipment
The protective equipment should be chosen based on the evaluation of the risks of
transmission of microorganisms from the caregiver to the patient, and the risk of contamination
of the caregiver’s clothes or their skin by the patient’s body fluids of secretions. All the
individuals involved in providing healthcare should be educated on the risks and benefits of
using protective equipment, and they should be well trained and qualified. The protective
equipment such as aprons and gloves should be made available and accessible throughout.
Gloves should always be worn by caregivers during procedures that carry the risk of exposure to
blood or body fluids and when handling sharp or contaminated instruments (Anderson,
Podgorny, Berríos-Torres, Bratzler, Dellinger, Greene, and Kaye, 2014).
The gloves must be used only once and should be worn until the medical exercise is over
