Description of the Guidance Plan
A guidance plan for people with the borderline disorder cannot be generalized, and a
standard inference is given for the adoption by medical practitioners on every patient. This is
according to the findings made by the American Psychiatric Association Steering Committee
(Silverman and others, 2015). Therefore, our plan will be customized according to the needs,
conditions, and requirements of our patient, Jana. For a better understanding of our guidance
plan, it is essential to take a look at the situation of our client. Jana is a four years old kid who is
having behavioral and development issues. Jana has problems associating with people. Other
external aspects that affect her development is the fact that she is hurled byher mother who does
not address her politely. This is notwithstanding the fact that Jana has self-destructive behaviors.
She has high impulsivity and a poor self-image. Besides, we also discovered that her seven years
old sister has also been diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome (Helles and others, 2016). This is a
condition which affects the ability of a person to interact with others. Besides, communication
for the patients of this health condition becomes challenging.
In this guidance plan, we are going to take into account these aspects in designing the
best interventions. In our interventions, we will make use of psychiatrists, analysts and other
caregivers in an attempt to restore the condition of Jana and ensure that her development goes
back to normal. In the process, we will have activities and medical interventions to work in line
with our short and long-term goals. This plan will enable us, as the caregivers to provide a
personalized approach to Jana and enhance collaboration between ourselves.
