The advertisement of Burna Shave and Dollar shave is captivating. First, the adverts were
short, clear and informative. To read the road signs and watch video advertising Burna shave it
required only a few minutes of driving or watching. Also, the video advert on Dollar shave was
short and straight to the point. Both advertisements were comical. Reading of the first tagline of
Burna shave would make one wish to continue reading the other five. Dollar shave advert was
full of comedy and dance. The two adverts are using a combination of digital and traditional
advertising strategies. For example, Burna shave had a series of six road signs with the first five
bearing a single line of a rhyming message and the last line having a well-written company name
and logo. Dollar shave video was such that the information was clearly and sequentially
presented to the viewer.
However, the two adverts were quite different. First, the dollar shave used only print
media while that of Dollar was a video. Secondly, the Burna shave advert could only be seen by
road users due to its positioning while that of Dollar shaves could be viewed by any person since
it as available online. Also, the Burna shave advert could only be seen by road user's of certain
roads while that of Dollar shave could be viewed anytime from any location since it was
available online.

road users could read it clearly. During that time, vehicles were moving slowly on roads hence
they could read the advert well. Secondly, the messages on the road signs were appealing and
this captivated the user's to read them. On the other hand, the Dollar shave advert targeted the
Internet users. Its availability on the Internet ensured made it possible for Internet users to view
it. This is to say that the advert could be viewed anytime and from any place. The use of a
comical video to advertise was pleasing to the viewers hence attracted more viewing.
The advert of Dollar shave was more captivating compared to that Burna shave. This...
