Description

The first draft of the brief literature review is due. This literature review should reflect a comprehensive literature search and cover major themes you have identified in the literature. You should ensure that you are identifying and giving consideration to the theoretical or conceptual frameworks present in the literature you are reviewing (see this week’s readings). In this paper, you also need to focus on synthesizing and aggregating the literature, as well as providing a critical analysis of the literature from at least 15 scholarly sources (see readings from this week). Integrate or combine your resources to determine what conclusions can be drawn from the articles as a group, whereby the focus is on content (conclusions, hypotheses, or premises), rather than the individual authors or articles. Topics in need of additional research may also be discovered while aggregating your resources. Finally, ensure your draft adheres to the APA Publication Manual (6th ed.) and that your draft is free of typographical and grammatical errors. This is a kind reminder that you should continually proofread your work.

Length: 10-12 pages minimum (this page length requirement does not include the reference list)

Note: You will be required to submit a second draft of the brief literature review that you have expanded. Therefore, you will need to include additional peer-reviewed sources in Week 11 of this course as part of the Signature Assignment

Conceptual Framework
A conceptual framework is an embodiment of the tools that have several contexts and
variations. The tools are used to create some conceptual distinctions and to organize ideas. The
very strong conceptual frameworks will include the real aspects of life. They will also help in the
formulation of ideas that are easy to remember and apply. The conceptual frameworks usually
come handy when organizing the devices in empirical research. There are a set of scholars who
have employed the aspect of the conceptual research to be deductive in nature. These models are
abstract representations that are also connected to the ultimate goals of the research so that they
will equally aid in the collection and analysis of data (Colburn et al. 2001). The paper conducts a
cognitive overview of the conceptual framework model used by the previously discussed authors
in the collection of data from the various sources to present the reader with the information on
innovation and technology.
Science and technology are two sides of a similar coin. Science is the place we research
the ordinary world and learn things about it, while innovation is the place we utilize that
information and apply it to accomplish specific objectives. That is indeed all change is the
utilization of our logical information. Some prominent and astounding researchers indicate that
innovation is a process that is always executed after careful thought. Some factors make some
institutions to be more innovative than others, and that make it necessary for the organizations to
determine the best strategies that will work for them.
Any given business environment can apply the use of the latest technological
development to ensure its profitability. Creativity and innovation play a vital role in creating
solutions because it corrects fallacious perspectives and filling information gaps in reasoning.
The human intelligence capacity endowed with diverse, dynamic and distinct rationale (Wang,

Jaring & Wallin, 2009). Creativity and innovation are particularly useful in problem-solving. The
ability of one to identify or recognize the presence of a problem is part of the creative process.
Innovation thus is the other part of solving the problem. Creativity and innovation embodied on
persons willing to fail, learn and create solutions.
It would be imperative for the paper to conduct a general overview of the concept of
innovation and technology. The field of innovation studies tend to explain the rate of the
technological changes. Just like a product, the technologies are meant to satisfy a given societal
need. The technological approach must prove how it will get engaged in saving the environment
and participating in green production mechanisms. Ever since the 1980s, the technological
innovation system studies have been greatly influenced by the structures of the society that in
one way of the other, would hamper is or support it (Schnaars, 1996).
The technological innovation systems have some key attributes that tend to make them
somewhat different from the other innovative system approaches. Firstly, it emphasizes on the
stimulation of knowledge flow is not an enough reason to push for the technological change and
economic performance. An exploitation of the mandate will create more business opportunities.
The conceptual framework adopted by the scholars in determining the structure of the
technological systems include the following key items. One, there is the actors. The actors are
the organizations that are responsible for the technological changes (Burgelman, Maidique &
Wheelwright, 1996). They might be the developers, adopters or just the financiers of the new
technological systems. These group of actors are the ones that are actually responsible for the
diffusion of the technological systems. There are a legion of potential players as actors in the
