Introduction

Human beings go through various stages in life before they reach to maturity. Human life
is associated with four stages of growth. They include infancy, early childhood, middle childhood,
and adolescence. Every stage of human growth is characterized by several factors which are used
to identify individuals per the group. Apart from growth, human beings are subjected to
development. Human development entails expanding people's freedoms and opportunities and
improving their well-being. It’s a process that all human being goes through in determining who
to be, what to do and how to live. During the transition process of adolescence to adulthood, a lot
of changes occur to people. This process has for the past century being consistent and predictable.
The period for that transition has been taken to be between the age of 22 and 24. However, a horde
of changes has occurred. People are transforming into adulthood when they are in their early
thirties hence the phrase; thirty is the new twenty.
