You should address: taxis, local bus systems (like RIPTA in Providence), Subways, and charter coach companies (where you can hire private cars, limousines, and buses to move people. Private cars and limousines are usually for VIPs – buses or what we would call coaches can be used to move large groups of people from one destination to another or can be set up as a shuttle systems – picking people up at hotels and taking them to the convention center and then back to the hotels throughout the convention. INTRODUCTION

Miami city is a great destination for hosting meetings due to its world-class facilities,
beautiful beaches, and shinning-sun throughout the year. Miami also has a variety of memorable
and unique meeting venues including venues for hosting special events which makes the city a
top priority for event and meeting planning professionals. Miami city combines an exceptional
culture, sparkling night-life, and meeting venues which are set in a beautiful weather. Miami has
witnessed significant growth than nowhere else which is evident through the abundance of
world-class venues for hosting events which are spread throughout the city. The variety of
beachfront in Miami to the various urban retreat centers to the wide of hotels and restaurants
makes the city offer a wide range of interests for meeting planning.

DESTINATION RESEARCH

Due to the historical aspect of Miami hosting diverse cultures it has been a good city that
hosts world class meetings. This has also contributed to the growth of attraction sites within the
city. This has therefore been a preferred city by most tourists who get entertained by the different
cultural aspects practiced in the city.

Historical Aspects of Miami City Relevant to a Meeting Planner growth

Miami city has a long history of hosting some of the world-class meetings and despite the
city having witnessed skyrocketing growth over the years, the city is still a top priority for many
meeting planners. Miami has a history of being referred to as “Magic City” due to the colorful,
exotic, and magnetic history of the city (Angel, 128). The city is always evolving and despite is
young age, it has become an international port city and a major city for global industries. Miami

has a historical culture that embraces diversity due to proximity to Central, South, and North
America including the Caribbean which makes a major destination when it comes to attracting
visitors. The Miami Beach Convention Center is one of the historical venues that has made the
city an excellent meeting destination in terms hosting large-scale trade, business, and cultural
events. The Miami Marlins ballpack is another unique aspect of the city that blends a history and
an exceptional design for hosting a variety of events and international meetings. Miami also has
a history of hosting special events whereby the Miami Metro Zoo has a long history of hosting
unique and colorful meetings for groups of up to 100 guests and for more than 2500 guests while
the Jackie Gleason Theater has a long history of hosting such events (USATourist.com 1).
Therefore, Miami and hosting colorful events is part of the city’s history which makes it a unique
destination for a meeting planner.
Entertainment and Attractions
The city has perfect entertainment venues and attractions which makes the city an
exciting destination to host special events and meetings. Among the unique venues in Miami
include the Faena Hotel. This is one of the venues in Miami which can make a special event or
meeting to be truly memorable and unique. The Faena Hotel is well recognized as among the
excellent venues in Miami and offers a special kind of style and service which makes the guests
creates a memorable experience (Angel 149). The hotel has idyllic meeting points and guest
rooms and also provides performances each evening. It also has various beautifully curated
outdoor and indoor spaces which can accommodate guests of all sizes. Another perfect
entertainment venue in Miami is the EAST Miami. This hotel is suited for meeting planners who
are seeking to provide the guests with a convenient and relaxing retreat and features two
restaurants, meeting rooms, fitness center, and a rooftop bar.
