Introduction
In the past few decades, there has been an increasing trend in as far as substance abuse,
especially among young adolescent high school students, is concerned. The increasing trend is
evident in many research studies that have been done by major private and governmental
organizations in the medical and healthcare ministry. There have been adverse effects of the
same to I terms of health disorders. However, there is two major treatment approaches best
suited for adolescent substance use disorders. These are behavioral based approach and family
approach. This brief paper is going to explain further why these two approaches entail and why
they are best suited for treating adolescent substance use disorders.
Behavioral Approaches

in their personal recovery from addiction and drug abuse and embellish their comprehension to
