Speech and Language Impairment: Professional Presentation
This Assignment will be foundational to your Final Assignment in Unit 9. Additionally, your Microsoft® PowerPoint® Assignment will be posted by the instructor in the Discussion section of Unit 9 where you will be responding to your classmates’ Assignments.
Create a short PowerPoint presentation to synthesize the material you learned through the chapter readings about impairments. Be sure to include:
- The name of the impairment
- The etiology of the impairment
- A brief discussion of what it might be like to have that impairment (how it affects learning, socialization, one’s self-esteem, etc.)
- A list of the organizations/agencies that offer treatment and/or support for children with this impairment and their families
